We didn't see each other that often, despite Jude being my sister-in-law for 26 years (!), however she has left an indelible imprint on my memory. She was always welcoming, always ready with a glass of wine, and always late with dinner. Her humour was quite without parallel and her tongue acerbic, to say the least. That made her all the more endearing in some funny way. I am so sorry that her life has been cut short in this unexpected way, for Bob and the family of course, but also because I had not shared many witty words with her for several months. It is an opportunity I will surely miss for ever now. Thanks for all the fun, the good company and for introducing me to family life of a kind that I never experienced as an only child!
